Getting a Loan doesn't depend on your household income and there’s no credit check. You won’t have to pay anything back until you’re earning over £21,000 a year. Once you earn over this amount you pay back 9% on what you receive above this figure. Therefore if you earn £22,000 a year you will pay 9%per annum on £1,000 which is approximately £7.50 per month.

Also available is a 19+ Advanced Learning Loans Bursary Fund which can help you if you have any support needs, for example if you need help with your learning, or help with childcare or residential costs. Your provider can give you details on how they operate their Bursary Fund.
